SialoGlyco 2026

Sialoglyco is an international meeting series that has been held every other year since 1994 (except in 2020, which was postponed to 2022 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic). While the title of the meeting series has changed several times, the meeting series has been attended well by those who have an interest in the biology and chemistry of sialic acid.

The SialoGlyco meeting in 2026 aims to facilitate international communication and collaboration in the glycoscience field, with particular focus on sialic acid. The topics will encompass chemical and chemoenzymatic synthesis of sialoglycans, sialoglycan–lectin interactions, new approaches to investigate sialoglycobiology, novel findings in microbiology, host-microbe interactions, infectious diseases, immunology, and cancer biology, among others. We invited leading scientists in the field as invited speakers.

This meeting is held in conjunction with the Taiwan GlycoForum Retreat 2026, the annual meeting of the Taiwan Glycoscience Alliance (TGA), to bring together glycoscientists in Taiwan and from overseas, as well as those who are dedicated to the investigation of sialic acid and those who are new to sialic acid.
